Fundraise for The Lord's Taverners

2010 is the Diamond Jubilee of The Lord’s Taverners. To commemorate our 60 years, we aim to raise an additional £500,000 to help give even more disadvantaged youngsters "a sporting chance".

We encourage and support anyone who wishes to take on a fundraising challenge on our behalf. We receive donations from people taking on challenges as diverse as a sponsored beard shaving to distance runs, the Three-Peaks Challenge and London Marathon.

The Lord's Taverners

The Lord’s Taverners is one of the UK’s leading youth sports and disability charities and the official charity for recreational cricket.

We believe that sport and recreation are essential for young people. Our charitable mission is to give a ‘sporting chance’ to young people in need; those who through physical, mental, social or economic disadvantage, not of their own making, would otherwise miss out.

We achieve this by focusing on youth cricket in disadvantaged areas and sports and recreational equipment for young people with special needs, including specially-adapted minibuses.

This year we will donate nearly £3 million to help young people of all abilities and backgrounds participate in cricket and other sports and providing sporting and recreational opportunities for youngsters with special needs.
