Nos Galan Races 2009 has now finished
31 Dec 2009
The famous Nos Galan Races commemorate the Welsh runner Guto Nyth Bran and his legendary athletic prowess. Held annually on New Year’s Eve in Mountain Ash, in the Cynon Valley, South Wales, the Races follow a 5km route around the town.
Plans for the 2009 Nos Galan Races in Mountain Ash, South Wales, are well underway and organisers are now inviting athletes at all levels to register - with competitions for elite runners and also for adults, boys and girls.
Around 10,000 people turned out on New Year’s Eve 2008 for the event’s 50th anniversary.when Olympic legend Linford Christie was the 2008 mystery runner. This year we hope to be even bigger and better, raising more funds for our chosen charities.
