With a little persuasion from Claire I have come out of half marathon retirement. Along with about 30 others I will be doing Liverpool Half Marathon on 18th March. In June I plan to do another half marathon – the Wine Run in Lanzarote. Paul and me completed this as a 10k walk last June, - if I can get my computer to play ball I’ll get a picture of us doing it loaded onto my everyday hero page. I will also be doing the Midnight half marathon walk (sorry, ladies only) with a number of friends in July.

Springhill Hospice opened in 1989 and provides specialist palliative care for people with life-limiting illness throughout the Rochdale Borough and surrounding areas.

In addition to services for patients, care is extended to their carers and families.

The Hospice is an independent charitable organisation and relies heavily on voluntary contributions.
