One Team. One Cause. One Community.
For the 3rd year running we have teamed up with Fitness Formation and Born Survivor to take on the formidable Lake District Born Survivor course! The team have supported St John’s and have raised over £92,500! We would love you to join us.
What is Born Survivor?
If you're after a new physical challenge for you and your friends in then look no further than Born Survivor! Make no mistake, it is not your average mud run or obstacle fun day - this is the ultimate military obstacle course challenge!
The brainchild of an ex-Royal Marine Commando and Falkland's veteran, Born Survivor has quickly become one of the most exciting and innovative obstacle course events in the country. Taking part in a Born Survivor event will test your personal fitness, courage, determination, teamwork and camaraderie to the limit.
The Lake District Born Survivor course is set in the stunning grounds of Lowther Castle and uses the natural terrain features as home to 30+ epic military training inspired obstacle challenges. Join thousands of participants in the starting cage and prepare to run, climb, haul, leap, slide and crawl as you stampede round the 10KM course.
If you dare take on this adventure you'll need a stiff upper lip to conquer the challenge alone; therefore join our team which is being led by the fearless front men of Fitness Formation in Lancaster!
Each and every member of team is just as important as the next. No-one gets left behind. This isn’t about completing the course in record time. This isn’t about who’s the fittest, or who’s the strongest. It’s about providing the same amount of support for your team mates, as the hospice shows to the people in their care.
It’s about showing the same amount of compassion to someone who fears heights, as the hospice shows to people who they care for.
It’s about encouraging someone through adversity, as the hospice do to the families they support during the bereavement of losing a loved one.
You will be called upon to inspire, encourage, and motivate people. You will help people overcome fears and objections. Some of these people will do the same for you.
People who are not even part of the team. People you may never have met before, and may never see again. This is exactly what obstacle racing is all about.
But it's not a race; it's designed as a challenge for everyone over the age of 18 to tackle at their pace, whatever their ability.
